Journeys In Ink

Stories have always been another way I care for people.
Through writing, I explore the places where medicine, grief, healing, mindfulness, and our shared humanity meet. As a psychiatrist, I have witnessed the quiet moments that rarely appear in textbooks. As a daughter, I have learned that loss changes us, but it can also deepen our capacity for love, presence, and hope.
Whether I am writing about burnout, compassion, the natural world, or the experience of grief, my hope is always the same: to offer words that help readers feel seen, understood, and a little less alone.
Each book is an invitation to pause, reflect, and discover that even in life's most difficult seasons, something meaningful can continue to grow.

What Lives Through Loss
Some losses change us forever. This book is about learning how to keep living after they do.
Written through the lens of both a psychiatrist and a daughter, What Lives Through Loss is a deeply personal reflection on grief, healing, and the quiet ways love continues after loss. Following the sudden death of my father, I found myself navigating two worlds: caring for others while learning to carry my own heartbreak.
Blending memoir with gentle insights from medicine, mindfulness, and psychology, this book explores the moments that often go unspoken, he return to work after loss, the weight of invisible grief, the search for meaning, and the unexpected ways healing begins to unfold.
This is not a book about moving on. It is about moving forward with love, memory, and hope.
Whether you are grieving the loss of someone you love, supporting another through grief, or simply seeking comfort in difficult seasons, my hope is that these pages remind you that healing does not ask us to forget. It simply asks us to keep living.
